I did well a few weeks ago, on the 18th I got a nice little 28" fish then on the 19th I got a 36" that was really fat, wanted to girth it but did not get the chance.... she was ready to leave. I am fishing them as long as there is water to fish!

I have very limited experience on moving water. I've spent some time on the Allegheny, but that is really about it. I have always been interested though in wading/kayaking for 'skies though.

The Allegheny like most know is a large river broken up into different pools. Small islands, current breaks, a deep channel, and some calm backwater pools exist on the river.

What waters are you fishing and what are some of the charecteristics? I am fishing Frech creek and Cussewago creek in Pennsylvania. French creek is varied and midsized runs from deep slow water to long streaches of shallow flats. Cussewago on the other hand is a small steam averaging 30-50 yds wide but runs deep and slow with logs and stumps throughout. The water moves so slow that at time there is no discernable current and when the leaves fall the surface is completly covered and unfishable at the peak. What does anyone else got?
