How'd your trip go? Mine was SLOW. I caught a 39 on Thurs and my partner a 35 on Monday. We didn't fish much on Friday and I hear they were on fire! I only fished a couple of hours in the morning and the weeds at night on Fri. Matt boated 4 but he had 3 or 4 days in a row without a fish!

Thanks

Steve didn't do well with Matt. He had a hit but didn't connect on a bull dawg type bait. They also saw a few but nothing in the boat. They concentrated on Greenwood and surrounding deep rocks. The weather Wed was brutal...62 and very windy. He is trailering to Shamrocks today so he can fish the Greenwood area. He is going with Matt again on Sat I believe. The weather looks to improve the week we will be there. Most likely the following week will be the good one...right, the way my life story goes.
I will look for you on the water next week.

Dave, I need a favor from you. Could you send me Matt's cell #? I have misplaced it and he hasn't responded to emails. I want to make sure I have it before I head up to Vermilion. The weather looks promising so we may get lucky and time it just right...I hope!

I fish Everett's occasionally but the weeds haven't been that great. I have stayed at the Glenmore Resort the last 2 years which is inside Pike Bay. This year we decided to go back to Transcheff's (we stayed there 4 years ago) because it is closer to the west if we decide to head that way. The last couple of years the fish have been in transition during our week up there. The weather looks to be favorable next week. From Sun-weds it will be around 74/51 with showers everyday which sounds good. I would like the water temps to be higher but we should be OK. It sounds like you lucked out last year with the fish moving to the rocks the day before you arrived. I was there the 6 days before they arrived...lol.

Dave, we'll be staying at Transcheff's. It is on the east end located just north of the bridge. Doesn't sound like a good report if the temps are in the low 60's. The same exact thing happenend last year when we were there a week earlier (this week). A few big fronts came in and the temps dropped. Followed by a slow week for us. We decided to go a week later plus the new moon helped us change our minds. I will be in my 2001 Crestliner (tan/black). I'll keep you posted with my buddies report.
