It was a while back, I would have to go back and check, the jist of the article/study was that muskies proved to be quite a bit more resilient than ever believed. They were surprised to have nearly 100% survivability regardless of how they were held…
There has been a study that showed radio tracked fish held vertically or horizontally fared no differently in survival rates. I have recaptured MANY fish that have been held vertical for photos and so have many other people. Vert. holds do not kill…
Lets do it again on the 7th!

that I couldn't get out of that tied up not only my Sat., but, all day Sun.! But, wow, I
simply love to hear about you as you really put for a lot of effort in catching those
sneaky beasts in Pewaukee! I assure you-that there are worl record fish in there!
One think that you do that is especially cool is, "You think out the Muskie condition
or present situation for the fish that you want!" That is the only way to do it cause,the
Muskie will do everything to try to get off including doing a high flying Gene Kelly which
happed to me at fat N.W. side of The Big P.! I didn't get that fish but, know it's exact spot!

- How has Okachee been to ya lately...muskie wise? Use to go there frequently in the fall. Haven't been in a few years, plan on returning this fall though. Is that resturant/bar in the launch channel still open?
