After fishing Shab for the past several years I have finally given up on it. Only one small fish the past 3 years. I think it is way over fished. I think you will have a better chance out on the Chain or even Pierce, which isn't as heavily fished....
well guys sorry but no reports i got stuck working sat. cause of all the rain during the week..let me know how it went this weekend.
Fished Shabbona Friday 11/20/09. Lake appeared to be turning over. Surface temp 46. Water was Tea Colored. Fished with suckers. No takers.
I think everytime i go down there a big cold front rolls in haha...but yeah i'll let you guys know how I do it should be good the weather starts turning good tomorrow through the weekend
Steve let us know how you do. We are going down for 4 days the 1st week of December. I have not had any November reports. I just shot an e-mail out to Colby Simm's, he is really great about sharing the 411.

Hi Steve, I fished Kinkaid Sunday and Monday and we moved a few fish Sunday in the Timber Slop back in covers but a front came through Sunday night and nothing showed Monday in the cold and rain. Water temps are in the 50s and falling, but Sunday ...
I'm getting a chance to go down for a day sat. Just seeing if anyone has been doing any good or what baits were moving fish the best and if timber or weeds were hot..thanks-steve

We are going down late on the 15th of October, staying till Sunday the18th.
From what we are reading and from talking to the guides down there, you don't really want to go till October. We can share the cost of a cabin let me know.

- Been really good man. We got 4 today 44, 41.5, 40, 36. Still way up shallow going strong on the 10's. Water temps were 69 this morning. Should still be good for quite a while. Hardly anybody out there.

- Thanks man, I got those two last night right when i got there on a homemade Double 10. It was nice to just have them commit out on the cast instead of making them eat in the 8 for once. 43,40 five minutes apart.
